Thank you so much for visiting my website.   I am Catherine Emma a mixed media based artist living in Wiltshire. 

My passion for art and creating has always been a part of me.  I studied Fine Art at Reading University many years ago now and have always enjoyed the exploration and the process of making.  Incorporating mixed media, natural forms, textiles and texture into my creations.

At University I created installation pieces, I loved the process of creating and hoped to convey this to the viewer as they were able to move amongst the pieces I created in a more immersive experience. 

My recently collection are all wall based, encompassing my love for  texture and pushing boundaries of what materials I can use together.  I love experimentation and layering.  Reminding me that not everything is how it first appears. 

Alongside my passion for making art I also love the therapeutic value that art making can bring.  I see this first hand in my Creative and play therapy practise, but also through my own creative journey.  

I aim to share and inspire a sense of hope through my work, creating space for reflection, connection and wonder. Giving viewers an opportunity to connect beyond ourselves and to experience and envisage what real Hope means.
